Retrevo.com did a great report on giving kids mobile phones. At this point its their future they now have to adapt and keep up with, almost like sending them to pre-pre-kindergarten to get them ahead. Personally, if I had kids I would give em a mobile phone at 1, so they could download the iPhone Apps: How to change your OWN diaper App, Potty Train App, & the Go get a job already App. For teens you can get the: Its time to move out App. LOL.

UPDATE: You thought I was joking but heres this!! Fisher Price Launches iPhone Apps For 2-Year-Olds

Hi Chris,
I think children should learn to use a mobile phone and computer as early as possible. Before they learn that there should be some basics. Children should learn to successfully socialise with other children first. And they should learn to write and count properly.
Nowadays to many children get these things far to early, that is why so many children has learning difficulties as well as movingdifficulties and difficulties to communicate.
as the development of the brain is connected with moving and different challenges for the senses these abilities have to be developed first.
About an age? It depends on the childs development.

Good points mobile is their future
HEY Chris great article I wrote one on why parents should give kids phones YOUNG…. In fact after writing it I wrote a tweet about giving a Kindergartener a phone.. People LOVED IT>
After a bunch of reports about young kids disappearing last year I rethought my stance and decided to write the article and gear it towards what I believed. It is so great to see your stats and how it works together. Putting this resource in articles later..
here is link in case you want mine; http://su.pr/1PFy7x Going out to RETWEET your link…. AWESOME
