LinkedIn Is Set To Explode With New Announcement

LinkedIn Announcement: Access LinkedIn Data From Other Locations Using The LinkedIn Platform. Starting November 23rd, developers can integrate LinkedIn into their business applications and Web sites. Their OAuth is now available at Developer.linkedin.com.

While LinkedIn has been a great resource, its seemed to have fallen behind some of the innovations that made Twitter and Facebook gain huge success by opening up their API’s. LinkedIn recently added a Twitter link to LinkedIn Profiles. Now they are doing the same in opening up their platform. If you look at the stats below, this is a great resource. Imagine having some of the great opportunities for the great Apps that have been developed for Twitter and Facebook. Tweetdeck is even supposed to be launching support later this week on their application.

I'm glad to hear that Linkedin decided to do the right thing and open its API. Lack of an open API was the reason I closed my Linkedin account.
