Great post, Chris! I wish I could adjust to your awesome format; this video blog posting! It is fantastic, and not many people do it, considering all of the blogs out there. And if they do, they don't do it as well, or as naturally as you do! This is your ‘gig”, and this format is so easy to listen to and understand; you keep reminding us that the blog is “raw”. . . no retakes, cuts, cleaning up a stumbled word, etc. That is why it is so appealing. As brilliant, successful and savvy as you are, you are human!!! I like dealing with people who are compassionate about what they do, but let their real personality come to light! You know that you can never please everyone all of the time!!! I LOVE THE CHRIS VOSS show. . . “THEE” Chris Voss Show.com!!! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us! You are the BEST!! -:) Paula
Thanks Paula for the compliment. I could make these perfect typed blog post
that others do but to me its a little pretentious and fake. People can
spend hours faking out a post that isnt how they type or think. Its
disingenuous to me.
Chris
As you point out in your vlog, Chris, people not only expect FREE information, increasingly they don’t want to expend ANY energy processing it. Perhaps — because technology has put so much emphasis on the TOOLS of information delivery — we’ve forgotten that learning still requires our effort to bring the information in and transform it through THINKING. As the volume of information continues to grow — along with our frustration about processing it all– we will likely see the quality of learning decline further. Who knew that more information could lead to less insight. Hmmmm… The conversation about and compulsion to “free” is growing. For example, the explosion of the coupon industry reflects our burgeoning sense of entitlement to a “special” deal. The “free-ride” trend exposes our confusion about the role of commerce, as well as the meaning of value in society.
Great point Nancy,
The more something I guess become a free resource maybe the less it is
respected. Which makes me wonder if people wont be stupider and lazier. Its
truly too many options paralyze people but even in my seeking success I had
to seek it and find the diamonds.
Thanks for publishing Earl Nightingale narrating Acres of Diamonds now on YouTube video. ‘Nuff said.
Chris – thanks for all the information you provide – It really is about content. I appreciate all that you offer! It’s amazing how people want success handed to him. It’s not easy, that’s for sure but I am glad I found you on Twitter and look forward to your tweets, etc!
The Diamonds are right under your nose…you have to actually SEEK them. What a great encouragement to pick yourself up and start again Thanks Chris Voss (again!)
