Rise from the Ashes and Blaze…In Everyday Glory

Sometimes that which you aren’t, is that within the reaching grasp of knowing, that it extends unto the endless reaches of your limited knowledge, a point beyond it, to which you aren’t yet ready, almost allowed, to yet be known, that, for which it is well beyond you…Somethings are magic, Someone is always left to Shine On. We find that in a drowning rescued breath, singled out in our struggle, a raging fight to a last ditch wave torn surface, to a point that we stretch, reach and find a final breath everlasting, some of us are left to stay, something that it is sometimes more than ever to give, it is a sacrifice beyond us, as we reach forevermore. WE are the stars shining up into the midnight sky, the constellations are nothing, paling unto our souls ever shining flight, WE SHINE ON FOR THE STARS TO REFLECT UNTO US, as we reflect brighter and ever more than the heavens that reach the interior depths of our souls, ever so lit against the spectacle of an ever skyless night. We can change, for WE ARE Everyday in its Glory, to Shine On. For We, can Change It. We are the Difference and the Distance…Everyday. -Chris Voss @Copyright 2010 Inspiration from Neil Peart.

…just one spark of decency, against a starless night…
…If the futures looking dark, we’re the ones who have to shout…
…We’re the ones who have to Change…

Rush – Everyday Glory – Counterparts

In the house where nobody laughs
And nobody sleeps
In the house where love lies dying
And the shadows creep
A little girl hides shaking
With her hands on her ears
Pushing back the tears
‘Til the pain disappears

Mama says some ugly words
Daddy pounds the wall
They can fight about their little girl later
Right now they don’t care at all

No matter what they say…
No matter what they say…
No matter what they say…
No matter what they say…

Everyday people
Everyday shame
Everyday promise shot down in flames
Everyday sunrise
Another everyday story
Rise from the ashes and blaze
In everyday glory

In the city where nobody smiles
And nobody dreams
In the city where desperation
Drives the bored to extremes
Just one spark of decency
Against a starless night
One glow of hope and dignity
A child can follow the light

No matter what they say…
No matter what they say…
No matter what they say…
No matter what they say…

Everyday people
Everyday shame
Everyday promise shot down in flames
Everyday sunrise
Another everyday story
Rise from the ashes and blaze
In everyday glory

If the future’s looking dark
We’re the ones who have to shine< /strong>
If there’s no one in control
We’re the ones who draw the line
Though we live in trying times
We’re the ones who have to try
Though we know that time has wings
We’re the ones who have to fly…
