Some Excerpts: “Laughing and Happiness: When a child can teach an Adult
Did you know that children laugh on average 300 times a day compared to adults only laughing 15 times a day? Where did we lose the ability to laugh? Did we actually lose that ability? Laughing is a vital part of being happy in our lives, and it is something that is worthwhile making a conscious effort to do more of. Read on to find out how children are teaching us adults how to be happy in life.
We’ve all heard that old adage: Laughter is the best medicine, Volumes have been written and spoken about the value of laughter in life and how laughter can make us happy – even if we don’t feel happy to start with. Laughter connects people and is part of the fine art of life happiness. ”
“How will laughing help me to find happiness?
Laughing does a lot of good things for us. It gives our body a gentle work out by causing us to use muscles in the face, chest and abdomen. It causes us to breathe deeply, cleansing our system. It raises the heart rate, and causes endorphins (feel good hormones) to be released. Laughing makes us feel the same way eating really good chocolate or having sex makes us feel. After a good belly laugh, we feel relaxed and alive and energized. Wait, those are things a happy person might feel! And whatever it is that made us laugh, later when we think about it, we will probably laugh, or at least smile again, continuing the “feel goods”.
Chris, you hit a home run on this one. In all seriousness, I wake up each day like it's Christmas and there are presents waiting for me downstairs. It's a world of opportunity, it's all about perspective. I have shared and experienced a lot of pain, everyone does. Laughter is what get's us through it and keeps it real. My kids taught me this and we can all learn from it. Richard Branson always says “a business has to be fun”… Too often I think we take things way too seriously. Enjoy the ride and laugh at the challenges. When you take this approach the worries go away, things start to become fun and in time through the struggle it all starts to happen. TW
Hey Chris!! Loved it! So true! As you know I have the opposite problem…not laughing and not smiling! : )) It really is in how one looks at life. A sense of humor should be taught in all homes! Thanks for sharing this great post!
Hi Chris,
This video is fitting, just yesterday I made a concerted effort to smile more deeply. Not the superficial grin or forced deal, but a real genuine deep smile that can be felt to the core. It almost always results in a laugh because smiling that deeply just feels fun!
My good buddy Todd Weiss said it best below: wake up treating each day like it's Christmas. Every person has been through tough times and some the deepest of nightmares, but we are still here. That alone is reason enough to smile 🙂

One of the best I've ever seen on the subject – true-true-true—there is a lady, she is on the movie “The Secret,” she talks about getting cancer and overcoming it because she deliberately wouldn't view anything but comedies, good movies about funny stuff..and she literally wiled and positived her cancer away! Superb viewing Chris…thanks for the segmenting as well, great idea.
That is pretty helpful. It provided me some ideas and I’ll be posting them on my website soon. I’m bookmarking your site and I’ll be back. Thank you again!private student loans
