Each Time a Man Stands Up for an Ideal or Acts to Improve the Lot of Others or Strikes Out Against Injustice, He Sends Forth a Tiny Ripple of Hope

20+ years ago I shared with a CEO, I took my final business lessons from, this message on a giant picture plastered with this ideal. I share this with you on our Martin King Holiday. The world indeed needs more visionaries. We are trapped by the weak followers of conformism and no idealistic interest to the endeavors of humanity and values. In a message 50 years + on, I would hope that we can still find a message of HOPE for all ages.

“Like it or not we live in interesting times. They are times of danger and uncertainty; but they are also more open to the creative energy of men than any other time in history. And everyone here will ultimately be judged – will ultimately judge himself – on the effort he has contributed to building a new world society and the extent to which his ideals and goals have shaped that effort.

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
