How do you account for seasonal shifts? In my day job, summer is our slow time. However, overall, the business continues to grow – new products, new customers, new marketing efforts, etc.
Chris I love your analysis, but now I want to give you something to consider – a Lion after it eats a good meal, isn't instantly looking for a new meal? Yes I agree with you in every aspect, except, I believe a business can niche and not die, relax for a few and cease to exist, yes, in terms of niche, sure, but then again…when you reach a certain point, hmm, like a Lion who ate that great meal. Yes eventually he'll get hungry again…but it's in a natural way? 😉 Thought standard revenue reliance is 33.3? You're video's always give out so much great info…thank you Chris…
Thanks Dana, Business' dont have bellies of limited size like a lion. I'm not sure I understand what you mean “cease to exist”? Wouldnt that prove my point. This is a largely well known business acumen, not one I made up, lol. Business with cyclical cycles struggle. When you build a company its a massive finance eating train running down the tracks. With employee payrolls, debt service, operating costs, etc. it doesn't not slow or stop easily. Thanks.
Chris – sort of agree – do you know of a great reference or two or three on absolute bottom line essentials to establishing a networking company? Have a hungry Lion who wants to eat – is just trying to find some nice terra ferma to do the eating at! Like the train analogy, to a point, but in cyber business not sure the same images come across correctly when using it? Uhm, sort of coming from the “properly fomented change = excellence in growth, whereas too much foamy suds in the tub can create a lack of vision through the water.” Ah yes, imagery abounds, hey lad? 😉
You want to create an MLM or be an associate? In business the lion is always hungry, your employees want paychecks every payday, your office supplies bill want to continually eat. Your operating costs never end, all even if your revenue does. Now if your coming from the perspective of a single person business the same still applies. Does your new analogy mean if you get too much business? I'm confused.
Hey Chris: The good thing about virtual response is the time line isn’t physical. What references mean is “what books are you reading on this” – and, both of us agree so much on MLM, wish it would work, as you note, most times it doesn’t, but the interesting thing about business is I’m seeing one emerge here in my life as it gets done by people wanting stuff done, the business takes shape.
“I have read hundreds of business advice books, but this one stands out. Every chapter has a great life lesson. Great for anyone who wants inspiration and to learn so much from someone who has done an incredible array of experiences.” -Gary Shapiro, President and CEOConsumer Technology Association, producer of CES®
