I found this on Facebook and really loved its inspiring message. Be a leader, not just a manager or follower.
Followers always have an excuse…
Leaders always have an idea…
Followers always blame others…
Leaders fix the situation….
Followers make promises…
Leaders keep commitments…
Followers let it happen…
Leaders make it happen…
Followers say, ‘Why don’t THEY do something about it?’
Leaders say ‘Here’s something I can do.’
Followers live in the past…
Leaders live in the here and now. ~Unknown

Interesting to know
A nice inspirational piece for me to read right after getting home from work! Thanks for taking the time to post! If you have a second, check out my blog at http://www.seancopeland.me and let me know what you think of the layout. I think I might add some of the features you have here.
awesome list – i would add: leaders are excited for the future. Followers are a little scared!
That reminds me of the difference of a leader and a martyr. A leader is 2 steps infront of the people; a martyr is 20 steps in front of the people.
:)))
Yes, great list and I agree with Jennifer – leaders are excited for future successes. They plan and meet objectives in the here and now that will get them to future goals, adjusting and fine-tuning as they go. Thanks for sharing!
Chris, Thank you for this “rich” perspective on leaders vs followers. Leaders always see the glass as “half-full.” They are positive people, even in the midst of a storm. They know that there is calm in the chaos and that storms do cease..They see what’s beyond and view it as “opportunity.”
Great post. A great leader can make impossible into possible. He never give up and never back down from any challenge. He know how to get maximum output and how to keep the same spirit and intensity among his followers.
Thank you. Very straight forward but to the point.
I like it Chris!! Sounds like followers are dangerous to those around them. Followers may just get managed right of a cliff. Go be a leader and inspire empowerment in others. Thanks.
This is the problem with most leaders, arrogance. Your success as a leader is not your own. Followers are as, if not more, important to your success. Try reading Chaleff
